Halloween

This year Halloween was especially fun in our house. Katie is finally at an age where she is excited, and understands what happens on Halloween. Clint our little bumble bee was clueless but got in on the fun anyway.
This is Katie's Rosetta costume. Grammie made it for her and it was perfect. It has been worn at least 4 times this Halloween season and needed a washing each time. It came out of the wash perfectly and she was ready for the next event.

Clint and Mommy. Or tonight, the bee and his honey hive.

Daddy with the little trick or treaters.

Getting Clint ready for Halloween. He was talking the whole time. His new sound is "dadadadada."

I remember being a child trick or treating each year. My dad always took us out, and walked a long way so we could get a lot of loot! I recall him saying many a times "did you say thank you?" "Yes" we would reply. This year I felt a sense of nostalgia as I took Katie around the block (Thank goodness she still doesn't want to go very far!!!) and asking her at every house "did you say thank you?" "Yes" she'd reply as she ran giggling for the next house. After we got home she was the candy passer outer. Rick asked her what she liked more; trick or treating, or passing out candy. Katie liked trick or treating better. I wonder how far we'll be walking next year???
