This summer has been super busy and fun! Rick and I agree that our kids are a couple of good eggs!!! (chuckle). Rick has been busy at work with them temporarily (like in months temporary) changing his hours to 7 days a week 8 hour days, with at least 1 or 2, 16 hour days in each shift. He is tired!!! He needs a vacation!!!
On his last long change we took the kids to Salt Lake to the Hogle Zoo. I realize Katie's hat says San Francisco Zoo, and it is her zoo hat so she wore it, but the following pictures are not of San Francisco.
We took a train ride, visited all the animals big and small. Katie is looking at, well me, but she's supposed to be looking at the prairie dogs, like we don't see those on a daily basis!
Did you know the dinosaurs are back?! They are at the zoo! The zoo has a bunch of moving (heads and body only) dinosaurs around the zoo. This big guys was every child's favorite! Clint was a little nervous and always kept one eye behind him. The t-rex would roar every minute or so which scared him slightly.
His favorite animal was the giraffe, although he make his sound "oh" in a loving way toward every animal at the zoo. Except the t-rex. He said nothing and kept a tight grip on Rick when he was near that guy!Now we are getting ready for school to start. I have been in my classroom everyday for a little while getting set up, and the kids are gearing up for another school year. Katie will be starting kindergarten this year and I hear that her teacher, Mrs Copsey, is kinda mean!!!

There were constant bands playing good music.
Clint particularly liked the music and if this were a video you would see him bopping up and down.
The petting zoo was back and Clint and Katie both got to pet a few cows.
And of course there were rides. The best part of the entire fair according to Katie. Aunt Carrie was such a good sport and went on every ride Katie pointed to. My favorite part was the food of course. What is a fair without awesome food!!
