Biding my time...

Clint is getting better each day. He still needs a little oxygen at night, and occasionally his nebulizer. But his activity level is up, he keeps a smile on his face, and Mommy on her toes!!!

She came down with a nasty cough, followed by throwing up. Throw in a temp. of 103.5 and you have one sick little girl. She is spending her days in bed watching dvds on the mini dvd player, and having me run up and down the stairs doing her bidding.

He is always quite a catch, and this time is no different, yup Rick caught Katie's stomach bug and is also in bed. So here I nervously sit, after sanitizing the house, washing load after load of laundry, waiting to be struck by the nasty germs floating around this house! Pray for me!!!

Poor Lil' Clint

On Sunday Clint, who has had a mild cold for about a week, began to have trouble breathing. I took him to the ER and he was admitted with pneumonia. They said we caught it early so it wasn't a full blown case. After one long night in the hospital he was sent home with oxygen, a nebulizer, and medication. He is slowly beginning to feel better and today we finally got him to eat (he was only drinking formula). The Dr today said he is sounding much better, although he still wants us to use oxygen at night if he has trouble breathing, and to give the nebulizer again only if he is in distress. A nebulizer for those who don't know is a breathing treatment with the medication being breathed in like an inhaler only with a machine.

Almost Easter

Oh the things you can find at the dollar store!!! Katie found these bunny ears and she thought she and Clint would look adorable in them.

Clint doesn't look too thrilled at the prospect of wearing them. If he could talk I think he would ask "WHY IS SHE ALWAYS DOING THIS TO MEEEEE????" to which I would reply "now, now, she is your big sister and it is her job to torture you while you are young. Don't worry, when you are bigger you will torture her even worse!!"

I swear I heard him say "heh, heh, heh" you know in an evil plotting laugh kind of way. Hearing that likely made his day!

Basket Car

Don't all babies just adore baskets?? Laundry baskets are especially fun...

...because they can go from cars to airplanes!!!

Of course as we age the basket (ahem airplane) gets a bit cramped. Somebody shrink this kid back down to baby size, she is growing entirely too fast!

Spring has Sprung

The people of Wyoming are going to tell me to bite my tongue. I am thinking that spring is finally here!! I know the kids look dressed for winter, but the temp was actually in the upper 40's in this picture. And after months of below freezing this to me is considered a warm spring day! People were outside washing their car, I saw a guy with some fertilizer getting his garden ready!!!

It was amazing considering that the week before looked like this! Katie is washing the window with snow for me. She is SOOOO sweet!! Just wait till spring I told her, and she can wash it with spray and towels! I don't think she will like that as much!

We will still get snow, I'm sure of it, but this one was a doozy for us. The flakes were fat, and for Katie...good enough to eat. She had to run outside to take a taste of the falling snow.

Although we could have gone sledding on a hill at the school up the street, we thought torturing poor daddy for a sled ride would be more exciting. We were right. So here is hoping spring is finally here, and that the weather begins to warm up more and more!!!
