Rick did the usual barbecuing on Christmas Eve. It was even colder and snowier than last year, but he braved it for some rib eye steaks. Grandma came to visit and spend the holiday with us. She too was able to experience the fun of children at Christmas. Notice Katie's outfit. She dressed herself, as she always does. The pink leopard print tights go wonderfully with the purple sequin skirt, don't you think???
Christmas morning Katie woke up early (about 6:30) and was so surprised that Santa had come and left so much loot! I asked her if she had heard Santa during the night and she said "yup, he sounded like this..." and she put on her boots and stomped on the tile next to the fire place. Clint gave her the Woody doll. I imagine he is thinking it is a toy he will like when she gets tired of it! In the picture above he is holding the card Daddy got him. It was yummy!

We truly had a wonderful Christmas. Santa aside, Katie also understands the real reason for the holiday, and that Christmas wouldn't exist without Jesus being born. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season, and that you also were able to remember the true reason we celebrate.
