How to Make a Bologna Sandwich

I bet you never knew that Katie's babysitter, Jenny, makes the BEST bologna sandwiches. Katie insisted on teaching me, and I thought you all would like a lesson too. First you spread the mayonnaise on some bread. We are using sourdough bread.
It's a lot of mayonnaise, I know, but it's how it's done.

After spreading the mayo one one side of the bread put on the cheese. You have to tear the cheese in half, and you need two slices one for each piece of bread. Only American cheese will do.

Lick your fingers if you get a little mayonnaise on them. (Yuck, GAG!!!) This is why I don't make the best bologna sandwiches, that would make me sick!

After the cheese comes the delicious bologna. Two slices, again one for each piece of bread.

Tear the bologna so that none is hanging over the sides. Eat the excess.

Put one side of the sandwich on top of the other side and "tah dah" there you have it folks, the perfect bologna sandwich.
Now you must enjoy it. But after one bite you must decide you don't really want the bread just the bologna and cheese. Then you get a lecture from your mommy about wasting food. Hungry children in another country, etc. You will nod, and say ok mommy, but you will do it again.

Ah yes, the classic bologna sandwich lesson. She is quite good at making sure the parents do it correctly! What a ham!
