Sick Sick Sick

Well we had a great weekend visiting with Grandma, Grandpa, and Duke. Katie and Daddy took the 4 wheeler up the hill to feed him some yummy apples and carrots. The two of them also helped Grandpa plant his new orchard. In a few years we should be going up each summer and fall to pick some apples, and pears. She talked all weekend about her Duke and we looked for him constantly.

But then sunday the fun came to a screeching halt when Katie got a fever. She has now had the flu for 3 days. I have been working on a mountian of laundry, and each time I get almost caught up she gets sick on something, that something making another two loads of wash. But she is a good patient, she is resting, watching lots of sesame street and elmo, and playing inside.

I don't have any pictures from the weekend as I had planned on taking video instead. But the weekend went too fast so I didn't even get that. But here is a previous picture of Katie and Daddy with Duke.

Where has the time gone?????

Katie is growing!!!

Well Katie just had her 2 year old well baby visit. She is not a baby anymore. I am a little sad, but happy too. She now uses children's tylenol, not infant, and she can take gummy vitamins. It seems like yesterday I was giving her drops for vitamins, and carefully measuring her medicine in a syringe. Now she takes it in a cup!!!
She measured in at 3'2" and she is 35 lbs. Her Dr. said she will likely be as tall as a basketball player. She is really athletic. She loves to run, jump, climb, swing, you name it. We are at the park everyday just so she can get some of that energy out. I hope she inherits her daddy's athletic skills!!!
We are going to enjoy our MLK Jr. holiday up at the ranch this weekend. It should be nice weather for us to go walking, feed Duke (the horse) and play lots in the fresh air.
I am trying to make this interesting, and I don't know how I'm doing. But I'll keep trying.
