Doggie!!!!

This is Katie's first dolly. She got it from Great Grams during a visit, and as an infant really loved it. When I reminded her about the doll she ran and got it. Side note; is it not strange how alike Katie and Clint look??? Siblings typically look something alike, but these two could be, at moments, one and the same. Although Clint is a bit bigger!!
Anyway, this is Clint's dolly. He got this little doggy as a gift from his Great-Great Aunt Ruth (sorry to make you sound older than you are with the great great business Aunt Ruth!) He loves this doggy. He loves it so much it is the first object he has held his fat little arms out to get. He grabs it with both arms and hugs it to his face. Sometimes he gives it a BIG kiss. Sometimes he bites it, and other times he just rubs it against his nose. He holds it so tight. If he is slightly upset you just shake it in front of him and he takes it like a lifeline. Like it is the only thing that understands him at the moment.

It's ears have become a little crunchy from all the chewing, and the nose is a little faded from too many kisses. Clint loves his little doggy! I hope it lasts forever!

First Day of School

Katie began her first day of Pre-K yesterday. She was so excited! She got this outfit for the first day and couldn't wait to wear it.
Grammie got her new shoes called twinkle toes. They have gems on the toes and they also light up. She loves to go into the mud room with the light out and say "mommy I'll just make the twinkle toes light up so you can see!" So after my mild seizure from the twinkling (which is more like an insane strobe light) I say "Katie those really aren't helping me find the door." The mud room has no window!
She was so excited to start her new school. She gets to take a snack to school every day so she picked out this awesome Dora lunchbox. She has been so excited to use it, since it is "like real school to have a lunchbox." Snack time turned out to be her favorite part of the day!

Hunting Season

All over the state wives and children are getting ready for the season. Fall you think?? Nope, hunting season, a season in which every bit of free time is taken up by the hopefully fruitful search for a trophy elk, deer, antelope, moose, or anything else that is open season. This year is Rick's second Elk season. His first with a rifle (last year he only did archery).
The game and fish department is warning hunters about the bears. Grizzlies are roaming a bit further than Yellowstone due to the fact that their food is scarce. Their food is a berry from a tree, not campers (there are plenty of those!) Anyway, the game and fish department is recommending that hunters carry not only a side arm, but bear spray as well.
What is bear spray you ask?? Well it is pepper spray in a container the size of a small fire extinguisher.
Rick is all prepared for the season to open. He hopes not to see a bear since, as I mentioned before, they are hungry!

Hopefully if he sees a bear he will see one like this (this photo is from flicker, and not one I took!) This bear is either pondering life, or wondering if the guy taking the picture has bear spray!

Katie, Clint, and I, wish Rick and all the other hunters out there a safe, happy, and trophy sized season!

Our Vacation!

For my 30th birthday Rick decided that I needed a trip. He and Katie had been fishing in Pinedale, and found a cabin that they thought I'd like. This is the view from our cabin deck. They were right, I like it!
Rick and Katie spent most of the weekend fishing, with little success. Rick caught one, but let it go. I think Katie makes too much noise to catch a fish but her bobber did go under the water a few times.

Clint and I preferred to sit on the deck of the cabin relaxing. We are very good at relaxing!

On the last afternoon of our trip we were in Pinedale site seeing, when the power went out. In the entire town. Someone said it was out all the way to Boulder. I had packed some food, but since we were on my birthday vacation, and the room didn't have a kitchen, we had planned on eating dinner out. So we went home to our dark cabin, which not only had no power, but for some reason when the power goes out so does the water. We couldn't wash our hands, or flush the toilet. Yikes, with a 4 year old you NEED to be able to flush and wash hands!!! Clint was more than happy to play row your boat for awhile, and Katie and I had a coloring contest. But we were starting to get hungry. I had some chips, fruit, and ding dongs, to eat, but that wasn't going to cut it! Just when we thought we would have to dine on the little one, the power came back on and we rushed out to eat!

It was an awesome vacation, and I can't wait to go back!

My 20's

People say "your 20's are a blur." Today, my 30th birthday, I look back on my 20's and think it wasn't a blur, but it will likely have been the most poignant decade of my life. Here is a photo recap (minus the little details) of the events that happened in my 20's.
I graduated from college. I am proud to say I am the first person in my family to graduate from a college university.
I married this guy. He makes me laugh each day. He makes my life easier and, is a true partner in our marriage. Without him the rest wouldn't exist.

We got our first baby, Molly. She was, and still is our favorite dog of all time!

I became pregnant at the age of 24. We were super excited to start a family, and knew that this baby would bring so much joy, love, and craziness to our lives.

Kathryn Sandra Copsey was born on December 10, 2005. She is 4 1/2 now and it seems like this picture was just taken yesterday.

We made a huge life changing decision and moved from California to Wyoming. It was a scary move and we were only hoping we made the right decision. Turns out it was the best decision we made. We miss our family each and every day, but Rick was able to find a good job, and we could finally buy a house. But best of all...

After years of trying and the heartbreak of losing, I was pregnant again. I found a Dr who could help us and we were blessed to have...

Our son Clinton Woodrow Copsey, born on May 10, 2010. He is such an awesome addition to our family. Katie loves her little brother, and we are awestruck that he is here!

My 20's could never be called a blur, but full, and the events life changing. I look at the first picture and think how young I look. I look at the end picture (which is gratefully too far away to see) and realize I have wrinkles under my eyes, I'm not a size 12, my teeth aren't as white, and my hair has lost a little lustre. But I have earned the wrinkles, and the bigger pants. In my next decade I will work hard to get my shape back, but as for the rest that's what cosmetics are for! I feel older, and I think that if I feel old, how must my parents feel??? After all, they are the parents of a 30 year old!

Oh the Pain!!!

Clint had his 2 month shots the other day. How I forgot the pain these baby's go through for the first day! He ended up sleeping on either Rick or I for most of the day, and as long as we kept the tylenol coming he was able to sleep! Thank goodness that by evening he was back to his smiling self!

Happy Father's Day!

Daddy, we know we make you tired, and you work really hard to give us all we need. We just want you to know how much we love you, and appreciate all you do for us.
I love you very much! I love to fish with you, and go for walks, play Candyland, and soccer. I love to dance with you, and watch our favorite movies like Shrek, Cars, and Toy Story. You are the best Daddy!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!
Love, Clint and Katie
