For her birthday Katie received an American Girl doll (the doll on the right) her name is Kit, from Grammie and Papa (my mom and dad). Katie chose Kit because Kit looks like me (awe now is that love or what!?!?!) Grandma(Rick's mom) thought Kit might want a friend so she found Ashlynn at her store (Katie chose that name) Kit and Ashlynn are best friends and sleep every night on the American Doll bed that Auntie Dee got her. The bed is pretty fancy, it is a twin but pulls out into a full size for friends to sleep over. Katie was worried that the dolls would have no place to sleep when we go visit California (because of course the girls have to come on the trip too they are family!!). So Grammie made Kit and Ashlynn each a sleeping bag, it rolls up and ties just like a real one! Katie was so excited to get them and now Kit and Ashlynn will be able to pack their bags and have a place to sleep when we visit family!
PS: Thank you for all your patience. I was so excited about the video camera and I was so excited to put some awesome videos on the blog. I had been having trouble downloading the videos I have taken and realized that to share them on a blog/facebook/etc you have to use the grainy setting on the camera. So the picture may not be as great but at least you get to see something. If you have a facebook page I will be putting the clearer videos on there. Although they have a little trouble accepting them too! So coming soon...Copsey Family Home Movies!

Katie's friends from daycare came and partied with us!
We had a princess cake. For those who don't know, this character is Rapunzel from the new movie Tangled.
Grammie was of course Snow White. Katie couldn't wait to see her costume!!! We played games, ate cake, made tons of candy fall out of a pinata, and did a craft. It was a pretty fun party!
Their visit included a lot of eating. Grams wanted to see Clint's eating pacifier. It is a net that you fill with goodies (in this case banana) and he can chew on the net and get out the banana goo without choking! He loves this thing!! When he eats all the banana he cries in anger until more is given.
Speaking of eating, we didn't fare so bad ourselves. My dad had crab shipped straight from the docks of San Francisco and we dined on it for a few nights.
My mom made us the most amazing, moist, and slightly spicy crab cakes I have ever eaten!!! She also made crab sandwiches. How spoiled are we?!?!?!
During their stay we had an intense snow storm. My dad isn't terribly fond of the snow, but got out there anyway and cleaned off the driveway for us while Rick was at work.
While he shoveled, throwing many a shovel full at Katie and I, we built a snow man. The snow here is usually too dry to build anything, but the first day of the storm the snow was perfect. Now my dad, who as I said dislikes the snow, had to teach us how to build a snowman. Yup we have lived here for two years and have never been able to build one. Now Katie and I are experts!!!
